Practical Reader, 1830

A leather bound book from the schoolhouse in the open air campus, Greenfield Village, the book’s spine split along the outer joint and the leather lifted off the spine. The leather was first consolidated with a 2% solution of Klucel G in Isopropanol alcohol, and left to dry for a week. The repairs carried out are described below.
